A Map of Numerex House
‘Numerex House’ maps an office space based on Prestamex House in Brighton. In my piece, a fictional company occupies the location. Every element of the room corresponds with a character, symbolised by their own movements, drives, personality and current and past interactions with other parts of the room and other characters in the room.
The map was created for the exhibition, ‘Correspondence’ which, as a theme explored the correspondence between physical and virtual realities.
Inspired by architectural blue prints, ‘Numerex House’ is hand drawn on graph paper in ink and displayed in an oak frame with mountboard, perspex, steel bolts and a lightbox.
