Unseasonal though it is to be talking of Christmas in the Springtime, I was asked by Jump Start Productions to create a poster to celebrate the start of production of their new feature film – ‘Home for Christmas’. These things start early and filming, along with fake snow, will start in April 2014.
It’s a cheesy rom-com about a girl searching for love based in Brighton and will star April Pearson (‘Skins’ and ‘Tormented’), Lucy Griffiths (‘True Blood’ and ‘Robin Hood’) and Derren Nesbitt (‘Where Eagles Dare’). The story is set in the Duke of York’s Cinema, one of the oldest working cinemas in the UK and due to its association, will have a national release around Picturehouse cinemas in the country.
There’s even a ‘Home for Christmas’ cocktail – vodka, hazlenut liqueur, cream and cinnamon – and I’m looking forward to designing the ‘Home for Christmas’ beer label; a bespoke beer designed for the film launch later this year…
