Had a great time at the private view of ‘Making Tracks at ONCA gallery where I’m showing both the Brighton map and ‘Echolocation’. The exhibition is showing work based on the idea of tracking and making tracks and includes a musical box that plays strip music based on bird migration patterns, a motion activated metallic sculpture that uses light, movement and sound to create a murmuration of starlings, light boxes using carbon and genuine animal tracks and an eerie site specific installation made in chalk dust housed in the original building’s ice cellar.
The gallery is also holding further events in connection with the exhibition like bat watching and moth trapping and includes a night of artists’ films on the subject of tracking.
