I’ve done some more pictures using grafitti lettering based on old stories connected with forests. This is Herne the Hunter. Has meant that I’ve now read a lot of books on grafitti styles – not sure if this makes me a fraud…I’ve never done any grafitti and I’m not really part of that culture – but I’m interested in the rules that people use when they use lettering. And there are definite rules – in kind of fonts used, content and design.
Herne is always depicted with horns, supposedly riding around Windsor Great Forest with his hell hounds. I’ve always been interested in folk stories and have been using them as basis for images since college. I guess there’s a strong connection with words and language in old stories too.
